Building AI products end to end as the only engineer, to learn first-hand what a small team can ship now that the tooling has changed.

• Built Headless HQ, a multi-agent platform where an HQ agent routes a company's operational work to specialist teams (a six-agent marketing team and a four-agent M&A diligence team are the deepest), behind an approval gate the customer sets: full review, a spending threshold, or autonomous.
• Launched PageWeaver, a paid AI storybook product with per-workload model routing across five AI providers, Stripe billing, and print fulfillment.
• Built Get Indexed, which measures how often ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity cite a brand, using majority voting across repeated LLM queries to steady noisy answers.
• Built FOUNDRY, a mineral-prospectivity ML model for the Canadian Shield. Designed adversarial validation that confirmed it for gold and ruled it out for three other commodities.
• Designed a development process for AI coding agents: specs and plans reviewed before code, then parallel specialist and adversarial agent reviews before each merge.

SRTX (Makers of Sheertex) · Y Combinator W18, Series C, B Corp

Joined as VP of Technology to build the engineering function and was promoted to EVP in June 2024, operating as SRTX's top technical executive (effectively the CTO) and reporting first to the President, then to the CEO. Grew and led a 46-person organization across software, automation engineering, material science, and IT, with remote teams in Canada and Europe.

• Architected Cortex and built it with my team as a complete rewrite of the earlier system. It became the company's system of record for production control, real-time data, ML quality inspection, and ERP, replacing 3 tools and a stack of paper and Excel processes.
• Moved production onto Cortex's work-order control, then brought material production in-house on top of it, connected and automated by Cortex.
• Replaced Snowflake with a real-time pipeline built into Cortex. Merged the standalone data team into the platform team.
• Grew the software team from 2 to 9, adding a product owner and project manager and promoting an engineer into a lead role.
• Ran GCP infrastructure and DevOps on a weekly release schedule plus hotfixes timed around live manufacturing.
• Set the two-to-three-year technology roadmap with the executive team and aligned all four departments behind one platform strategy.
• Shipped ML visual defect detection on the production line.

Altium

VP of Product for the Upverter product line after the acquisition, responsible for the product and engineering side of EE Concierge and Octopart's component-model business, working alongside Altium's sales team.

• Launched and scaled EE Concierge inside Octopart, an expert model-creation service that still runs within Altium.
• Built a two-sided model business where part manufacturers paid to publish public component models and Altium's largest enterprise customers paid for private ones.
• Shipped Electrical Models on Octopart.

Upverter · Y Combinator W11

Technical co-founder of a cloud-based electronic hardware design platform, from Y Combinator to acquisition by Altium. Built the technology with one of my two co-founders, led sales for a year, and covered whatever else the company needed.

• Grew the platform from 0 to 30,000+ users and the company from 3 founders to a 17-person team.
• Raised $3.5M in venture funding.
• Built and ran the multi-tenant SaaS platform on AWS. Took the company through SOC 2.
