How it started
My six-year-old asked for the same bedtime book for the fourteenth night in a row, and I started wondering what it would be like if the kid in the story were him. So I built him one, fighting tigers in our backyard, with a Python script and some API calls. It was terrible. He loved it.
Then he wanted his little brother in it, and his best friend. The first time he and his best friend read one together, they were planning the next one before they’d finished, and her mom asked me to make one for her birthday. That’s when it stopped being a side project.
